An Introduction to Evolve
Evolve East Anglia CIC (Community Interest Company) established in 2014.
The company was set up by Gemma Cox and Shaun Burland, who are both Directors. Originally the focus of the work was with children, their families and care leavers. However, increasingly the organisation was asked to work with adults and young people and this group has, over time become the primary focus of our work.
Shaun Burland is a qualified registered social worker, with many years of experience in local government as well as the private and voluntary sector. Gemma Cox is a qualified housing professional. Gemma also has many years of experience in both local government and the voluntary sector.
Together our Directors combination of professional knowledge and expertise has facilitated the development of an innovative and creative range of services that are based on building positive relationships and valuing the individual service user.
The company is ‘not for profit’ and has been built around our shared principles, values and beliefs. It is important to us that we are a non-hierarchical organisation where everyone – staff and service users alike, feel valued for the contribution they make to the development of the service.
We believe that the people who use our services should play an integral part in the development of those services and that as an organisation we should judge our own success by the success of our service users.
